Did you know that there are places in the Mojave Desert where the night sky is dark and ideal for stargazing? Mojave Trails National Monument is one of them. But, encroaching light pollution is starting to impact the quality of the night sky in the monument and its wild places. This International Dark Sky Week, join us for a virtual Campfire Talk with WISDOM (Women In Science Discovering Our Mojave) interns who will share their findings from a dark night sky survey they conducted in the monument. You will see a new short film about this project and learn how the interns measured the sky and what they uncovered.
