ABOUT GLYCERITES
Discover other ways of making delicious herbal remedies using vegetable glycerine. Vegetable glycerine is derived from plants like palm, soybean (be sure to get non GMO soy) and coconut. Glycerine is a clear liquid, mildly sweet, thick like a syrup and odorless. Herbal Glycerites are just another form of herbal remedies using vegetable glycerin as a solvent and whilst it is not as strong as a solvent as alcohol, it can still extract particular plant constituents, we will review what plants are best to use when making glycerites. Glycerites are also suitable for everyone based upon what plant is used and can be consumed by those with sensitivities to alcohol or those who wish not to have alcohol.
Vegetable glycerine is added ingriedent to skin and haircare products, we will explore the uses of vegetable glycerine and glycerites for skin and hair and how we can incorporate a clean greener way into our Self Care routines and what indications would best be suited for using Creosote Bush as an herbal remedy.
Explore the ancient plant of the Southwest Deserts, Creosote Bush. A full two part class devoted to this endemic evergreen, we will be creating a non alcohol glycerite with Creosote Bush and explore uses.
We will begin with a Plant Tea Exploration where we will sip together on a tea made with Creosote Bush, in this journey we will explore the physical energetics of the plant and its taste and discussion of herbal uses.
